Heh, thank you :) Of course, I feel sometimes like I’m barely old enough to drink, and then I feel deep into my forties. Most of the time, it’s the former, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. But yes, very true, and I need to focus on that a little more. Especially considering my parents who are in their late sixties act nowhere near that!
I had a great day; saw my niece, had a good lunch, did some thinking about my future, and smiled all day. What more can I really ask for?
:)
Awww, end of Supernatural. You kinda hurt me.
Yeo. Big old 36 :/
A law firm with ties to the California GOP is deeply bothered to see Mexican-American Jose Hernandez’s name on the ballot for U.S. Congress (that is not the joke yet, but we could probably just stop there, ha ha) because he has listed himself as “astronaut” on the line for his occupation. Hernandez, the son of migrant Mexican laborers, is a recently retired astronaut, a fact the law firm pointed out in a lawsuit filed last week. This means that Hernandez is CHEATING, by describing himself according to his career accomplishments over the span of more than say, the last week. May the Republicans suggest a more rule-abiding generalized occupational description such as “Brown person” instead?
Seriously?
What a fun trend this could be, minorities having to go to court for permission to publicly associate with their life’s work! There’s some job creation for you: Hernandez says on his Facebook page that it will cost $20,000 to hire lawyers to defeat the lawsuit.
And again, the Republicans make it near impossible to not see them as idiots with massive double-standards. Not to mention possibly a little more racist than even I want to believe.
ETA that at least those connected to this particular ridiculousness. I know not all Republicans would bother with this, and perhaps even I’m jumping to the racist thing faster than I should. But in any case, what a bunch of bullshit, no matter the reason for it.

Painful because of how true it is.

Claim: Rick Santorum said that a ban on pornography was “one of only a few things I see eye to eye on with the Taliban.”
FALSE
Let’s just fucking end this sea of lies right here, shall we?
Making up lies against your opponents is dirty politics. I do not support this at all, regardless of who it is about.
Thank you, Zarggg.
So glad someone checked this. I’ve been seeing this a lot, and it was bothering me big time. I can’t stand the man, and I don’t doubt his true feelings on homosexuality would disgust me. But I just can’t believe anyone would actually say this that was thinking of running for national office. There are few people that stupid, and for all his faults, I don’t think even Santorum fits that bill.
So maybe it can disappear and stop sending unnecessary shivers down everyone’s spines.
